Celebrate Cinco De Mayo In Style

¡Hola Amigas!

Feliz Cinco De Mayo! Let’s celebrate by getting inspired by this colorful celebration of Mexican culture with bold designs, bright colors, bohemian jewelry that make a statement, and fresh flowers. Cinco de Mayo remembers the cause of freedom and democracy of Mexico in the Puebla battle. Today is a celebration in honor of the Mexican heritage and pride. Let’s get inspired by the fun colorful culture of our Southern neighbor.

Accessorizing  For The Fiesta

Mexican fashion is all about being bold and unapologetic. Playing with the cheerful colors, the big jewelry pieces, and ruffles is a big part of the style. Today I’m bringing you guys a look inspired by the yearly celebrated holiday “Cinco De Mayo”. I opted for a simple white maxi with some lace details and accessorized it with a black lace choker from Forever 21 and a bohemian styled belt. For hair accessory, I opted for a fresh red rose. Fresh flowers have been used as accessories by Mexican women for decades. They are an absolutely fabulous, delicate and feminine touch!

Big hair flowers are a classic way to get a Mexican inspired look!

Bohemian inspired jewelry also embraces the authentic raw Spanish look

If you are feeling like embracing your inner Frida you may also pile on colorful flowers for a Frida Kahlo inspired look. Frida is a deeply influential figure in Mexico and all around the world. Her work continues to be celebrated in in all corners of the world. I personally admire her infinitely and her work deeply touches me. You can make this look your own and tweak it as much as you want. Have fun with the bold accessories, and play with the colors.

I hope you Lindas (beauties) have a wonderful Cinco De Mayo full of Tacos and Margaritas with a side of style! Stay chic and enjoy the weekend. I’m off to get my Margaritas & Tacos!
