Falling For Fall
“Don’t be into trends. Don’t let Fashion own you, but you decide what you are” ~ Gianni Versace
Happy Sunday, and the first day of October Bellas! (insert heart eyes emoji here) my favorite month has arrived. Although I reside in the sunshine state, and we don’t really get the full Fall experience; I still enjoy transitioning my closet into a more appropriate Floridian Fall style (got to make the best out of it). I love Fall Fashion, hands down my favorite! I’m all about dark colors and cozy sweaters.Today I’ll be sharing with you the first look of the season. I’ve always been a lover of Vintage and timeless pieces, and thanks to my mom I was able to put this look together. So let’s jump in the time machine and take it back with this look!
Fashion is a statement, a way of art to express yourself in the most intimate and freeway. I personally like to take trends and make them my own, tweak them and add my personal touch. Last month while helping my mom clean out her closet; I came across this timeless little black dress that was my mom’s (many moons ago lol). I love mixing Vintage with modern accessories. This is a perfect example of a great mix between a vintage piece and modern accessories.
Little Black Dress
My favorite thing about this dress is the way it wraps around the body! It’s feminine, chic and extremely comfortable. I’m a sucker for details, and the details on this dress are absolutely stunning! From the V cut to the beautiful buttons, and slit; I love it all. Big THANKS to my mom for keeping this gem around.
I paired the dress with a sheer blouse and a pair of Christian Louboutin heels. I finished the look with a black wool hat I found at H&M. The bag I’m wearing I found at Macy’s, is by Ralph Lauren, and is currently on sale for under $200.00 (total steal). I always keep an open mind when it comes to Fashion, and I mix and match old pieces with modern ones. The combination never disappoints. So here you have my first Fall look; enjoy and I hope it inspires you to give older dusty pieces in the closet a second chance. You’ll be surprised with the results.
