The Rehearsal Lunch
It’s hard to believe that we are exactly one month away from our 1-year anniversary. It feels like it was just yesterday we married. I’m amazed at how fast time has gone by. I must admit that I often find myself day dreaming about our perfect wedding weekend, wishing I could relive it all over again. Alex and I will be celebrating our first year of marriage next month on the 19th, and I thought that it would be fun to share a few details from our wedding festivities last year. So here is everything you need to know about our prewedding soiree.
We celebrated our Rehearsal lunch at Nick & Johnnies in Palm Beach Island. Traditionally most brides opt for a Rehearsal dinner, however, I had scheduled a spa afternoon for my husband and I at The Boca Resort where we were staying for the weekend so I needed our evening to be open. I really wanted to relax that evening before the wedding day and get to bed as early as possible. Opting for a lunch rehearsal versus the traditional dinner freed up a lot of our time that night which was perfect for us.
Our rehearsal began at 11:00 A.M. at our wedding venue The Addison. Right after, we headed to Nick & Johnnie’s for lunch. Upon arrival, guests were welcomed with a refreshing mimosa and escorted to the dining area for lunch. After a few refreshments and some well-deserved bubbly for the Bride to be (me) LOL we sat down for lunch and shared some fun memories, laughs and a delicious meal with our friends and family.
What I Wore
I found my rehearsal look while celebrating my Bachelorette in New York. I was shopping at Kleinfeld Bridal for wedding shoes when I ran into another bride who was wearing this stunning lace set by “For Love & Lemons”. She was sweet and kind and gave me the information of where she had purchased the set. I immediately ordered the set, I knew it was just perfect for our rehearsal lunch! I had already planned rehearsal, and I knew the set was just the one for the occasion.
Our rehearsal lunch inspiration was “Palm Beach Tropical Chic”. We chose to have a long table instead of multiple ones to keep it more intimate. I included some of our wedding colors such as the gold and ivory in the rehearsal lunch decoration. I also incorporated some greenery to set in the Palm Beach Tropical Chic vibe. The guests dined on a preselected menu that included a variety of entrees. For dessert, we selected a lemon meringue cake from Aioli, a local restaurant and bakery that my husband and I love visiting. Their lemon meringue cake is to die for! One of Alex’s favorite. Trish Thurston from Nick & Johnnies was my assigned event planner (a total doll) she assisted me with the menu selection and coordinating. All décor and styling were done by me. It was important for me to add my personal touch to all the wedding festivities. I presented my vision to Trish for the decoration, and she loved it. Trish did an amazing job following my instructions and delivering a beautiful setup.
Wrapping Things Up
After lunch, we headed back to our hotel and enjoyed a relaxed spa afternoon followed by dinner at one of the Hotel restaurants Lucca with some of our bridal party members. After dinner I kissed my groom goodnight and went back to my suite, with a single thought in my head; the next time we would kiss would be as husband and wife. I cuddled in bed with my fur baby who spent my last night with me as a single gal; yes our fur baby was part of the entire wedding celebration! Including walking dad down the aisle. I hope you gals enjoyed this wedding post, stay tuned for more upcoming wedding fun on the blog! Happy planning, future Brides!
